Our Team

We are a group of friends who met at our local camera club. We are passionate about our photography and want to share our enthusiasm by encouraging others to enjoy photography as a pastime.

John Whittle

John Whittle

Having taken part in so many photomarathons run by keen volunteers, John decided it was time to give back and run an event in his home city of Oxford. “ I love the creative challenge of a photomarathon, the pressure to be creative, and the tolerance of imperfection.”

Merrill Jacobs

Merrill Jacobs

'Merrill Jacobs is a photographer whose work is rooted in a deep appreciation for the natural world, with a particular focus on landscapes, woodland, and coastlines. Drawn to the quiet drama of open spaces and the subtle details of nature, Merrill captures scenes that balance atmosphere and texture, from dense forest paths to windswept shores. Through a thoughtful use of light and composition, the photographs convey a sense of place and stillness, inviting viewers to slow down and experience the changing moods of land and sea.'

Richard Foyn

Richard Foyn

Richard took his first photograph in 1969 using his father’s bellows 120mm roll film camera. One of the shots on the first roll was subsequently used as a book illustration and he has been trying to match that achievement ever since. Many tens of thousands of images later, a few of which he is quite proud of, he is still attempting to take better pictures. He has discovered, to his cost, that more money spent on equipment simply results better quality rejects but he keeps on trying.
