The countdown has officially begun! July might sound far away, but with around 120 days to go, time is moving fast, and so are we. With a small team of volunteers and a carefully managed budget, we’re working hard behind the scenes to make this year’s event smooth, enjoyable, and memorable.
Building the Right Systems
To keep everything running reliably, we’ve been testing and selecting the tools that will support the event:
· SmugMug will be our image hosting platform. Our friends at the Wales event (RCTphotomarathon.com) have put it through its paces, and its stability really impressed us.
· Ticket Tailor is handling event registration and payments, and so far, it’s proving to be a great fit—simple, clear, and dependable.
These systems form the backbone of the experience, so getting them right early is essential.
Try Our Mini‑Marathon
To make sure everything works as intended, we’ve launched a small four‑topic minimarathon, available now via the Take Part menu. There’s no rush on this one—we’re mainly checking that our instructions make sense and that the software correctly handles dates and times. If you’d like to help us test things out, we’d love to have you join in.
